Board Gamers Club (BGC)

About

Our after school program focuses on teaching children good sportsmanship and strategic thinking and improving verbal communication. Through a variety of competitive and cooperative board and card games, we hope to help each child develop important life skills all while having a lot of fun. Our program is designed for any play level from beginner through experienced players.

Games are taught in two week series. We spend the first week teaching, going over strategy and playing a new game(s). The second week we review the game(s) and give them a more in depth experience building upon the strategies learned and exploring new problem solving methods and skills. We then move on to another set of new games and continue this cycle through the end of the program. 

Please fill out this registration form/waiver before the start of the program. All participants must fill out the registration form/waiver AND submit payment in order to be admitted into the program.

4th - 8th grade

Dates and Time

Mondays
January 13 - June 2, 2025
4:00pm - 6:00pm
No meeting on March 31, 2025 (Spring Recess)

Cost

$550 per child

Jefferson Elementary After School Program

**FOR JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FAMILIES ONLY**

*Space for this program is limited*

Children will be picked up after school from Jefferson Elementary School and walked 3 blocks to The Game Parlour at 1342 Irving Street.

Children will have supervised homework and study time followed by free and organized play from our library of board and card games.

Please fill out this registration form/waiver before the start of the program. All participants must fill out the registration form/waiver AND submit payment in order to be admitted into the program.

3rd thru 5th grade only

Dates and Time

Spring 2025:
Tuesdays and Thursdays
2:05 - 5:00pm
January 7 - June 3, 2025
*Adjusted hours for Parent-Teacher Conference week: 12:50 - 4:00pm
*No meetings April 1st and 3rd (Spring Recess)

Cost

Full time (Tuesdays AND Thursdays):
Registration by January 7, 2025: $1,850 per child
Registration after January 7, 2025: $1,950 per child

Part time (Tuesdays OR Thursdays only):
Registration by January 7, 2025: $925 per child
Registration after January 7, 2025: $975 per child
